Graze Tester Box

Graze Box

This is my first box from Graze however due to how long it has taken me to write this short review of the healthy goodies I got, I have since received my second box.  The first box is free so can be seen as a trial run for the boxes you’ll receive in future.  They have several different boxes to choose from – Breakfast Variety Box,  Goodybox (Especially made with Kids in mind) Light  Box (Low-calorie snacks, 50-150 calories) and much much more.

I opted for the Nibble Box as you get a choice of everything and it isn’t focused just on one meal a day like the Breakfast box is, I am awful for snacking especially at work so having some healthy treats I can snack on seems like a far better idea than a Kit Kat…even though I do love them! They are one of my many chocolate Achilles heel.

Another amazing thing about Graze is that you can rate food; anything you love they’ll send often, anything you like they’ll send every so often and things you hate…well you’ll hopefully never see their ugly faces again – I am looking at you dried fruit.  They also have the “send soon” option which is basically what it says on the tin.  HURRY UP AND SEND ME THE GOODIES GRAZE NOW!  You might not get them the next box but you will be due to get them eventually depending on how many send soon options you click!

The first item I got and by far my most hated –

  • Rhubarb Pieces: rhubarb, sugar, sunflower oil
  • Pear: pear, lemon juice concentrate
  • Cranberries: cranberries, sugar, sunflower oil

There is nothing more to say on this item apart from that I really didn’t enjoy it, I hate dried fruit there are only certain fruit I’ll eat that are dried.  I am not a huge fan of the texture.  Never had tried rhubarb before so thought I’d leave the rating as try and find out first hand my opinion of it, be a bit more open with my food.  But even despite the texture it just tasted awful, I am not a huge fan of rhubarb or this food item in general so will not (hopefully) be getting this again in future boxes.

Next up –

[Japanese Seaweed Rice Crackers]

Rice, Vegetable Oil, Sugar, Modified Tapioca Starch, Maltodextrin, Soy Sauce (water, soya beans, wheat, salt), Lactose (milk), Seaweed, Salt, Paprika, Soy Sauce Powder (soya beans, wheat, salt, maltodextrin), Disodium Guanylate, Disodium Inosinate, Chilli

Love, love, love this!! I loved the sound of it from the beginning and so pleased I received these in my first box.  Didn’t know they had chilli in until now but that definitely explains the kick – it all makes sense now! Would have these again without a second thought, delicious and different.

Blanched Peanuts: peanuts

Caramel Milk Chocolate Buttons: sugar, cocoa butter, whole milk powder, skimmed milk powder, cocoa mass, caramel powder (skimmed milk powder, milk proteins, sugar, butter [milk]), whey powder (milk), lactose (milk), soya lecithin, natural vanilla flavouring

Fudge Pieces: sugar, glucose syrup, sweetened condensed milk, vegetable oil, butter (milk), soya lecithin, natural vanilla flavouring, salt

Raisins: raisins, sunflower oil

I really enjoyed this; the chocolate buttons were to die for!  The fudge pieces were a little too small but still tasted amazing and the only thing I wasn’t too keen on was the raisins but they are just disgusting dried fruit so that was to be expected from me.  Really did love these and can’t wait to try them again.

Cheese Flavoured Cashews: cashew nuts (94%), maltodextrin, onion powder, rice flour, tapioca starch, maize starch, salt, sugar, yeast extract powder, natural flavouring, paprika, turmeric, garlic powder, white pepper

Baked Herb Bites: rice, rice bran oil, sugar, tapioca starch, soy sauce (soya beans, wheat, tapioca starch, caramel), salt, tomato, oregano, onion, white pepper, disodium guanylate, disodium inosinate

Salsa Corn Sticks:  corn (71%), vegetable oil, salsa flavouring (4%)

(lactose [milk], natural flavouring, chilli powder, onion powder, garlic powder, citric acid, salt)

I have always loved savoury items – they make a nice change to chocolate and cake.  This was just perfect for me and what I like. This definitely gets a love rating!

August Loot Crate – Heroes

Do you have the makings of being a hero?!

Remember “Nothing starts until you take action”

Please enjoy this months little treats from the amazing people at Loot Crate, who once again went above and beyond with the Loot Crate exclusive item.  The item this months is truly incredible and by far one of my favourites…especially the glow in the dark added effect!

TMNT Full Figure by Kidrobot

“We’ve seen a handful of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle movies and Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird created these heroes in a halfshell way back in 1984 and probably not with the idea that they’d become so popular! Cowabunga dudes!”

My Opinion: I used to watch TMNT when I was a child but that’s as far as my fandom (if you can even call it that) goes with TMNT, I am not really a huge fan. This is one fandom I missed out on getting in to however the new TMNT film coming out looks…awful! The Ninja Turtles themselves have a striking resemblance to Shrek and this is one film I can live without seeing. I don’t think it’ll be a big blockbuster hit; more a flop than a knockout! But I could be wrong!

Funko POP! Groot Exclusive by Funko & Marvel

“Did you know this little guy has been in the Marvel Universe since 1960?…Now, he and his fuzzy companion are taking the world by storm in this month’s box-office hit: Guardians of the Galaxy! Did I mention his arm glows in the dark? I didn’t? Well, check it out!”

My Opinion: I love Funko POP! Figures. Since starting Loot Crate and looking elsewhere online I have started to build up a small collection of these fabulous items. This is not only my favourite item in this crate but my favourite item out of all the crates I have had in the past! If you haven’t seen Guardians of the Galaxy yet you are missing out, it is this summer’s must watch film (in my mind – way better than Lucy and the new Transformers combined).

TMNT Mask Glasses by H2W

“Show your Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle pride with these bandana glasses!… You can show your love for not just the series but the new big-budget flick from Michael Bay…Cowabunga, dudes!”

My Opinion: If I was a fan of TMNT I would probably like these but I really don’t, they are cool for fans but I wouldn’t wear them. Maybe if I was going to see the new TMNT film I would but I doubt that’s going to happen. At least this matches up with the Donatello figure – on purpose or just coincident? *Twilight Zone music*

Shoe Lightning Bolts by Schwings

“Now, these fun lil’ bolts that lace into your shoes and make you look ready to race out into action like The Flash!…Let us see how these lighten up your walks, runs and if you figure out how to take off into space – we want to see that too!”

My Opinion: These straightaway reminded me of Percy Jackson; when I was a huge fan of the books and just as the first film was coming out I got something similar to this along with a winged converse air freshener. Of course Percy is a hero of his own accord, there are some perks to being the son of Poseidon. Fortunately these relate to the incredible superhero The Flash, I am looking forward to putting these onto some shoes of mine hopefully I’ll become the Usian Bolt of England – one can dream.

Sonic Air Freshener by Sega & Epic Scents

“Sonic’s arrival on Sega’s systems in 1991 signalled a burst in speed that everyone loved. You can keep your car, locker or pretty much anywhere you can hang these fellas…Not a bad way to show your love for these gaming favourites!”

My Opinion: I don’t own a car nor do I have a locker but I am sure I can find somewhere to hang this little gem or I could always pass this onto one of my gaming friends who owns a car. It all depends on what this smells like, fingers crossed for something sweet flavoured!

Magnet 2×3.5 by Loot Crate Labs

“Magnet – Deadpool is one of our all-time favourite Anti-heroes and this is his favourite breakfast cereal…Chimichang’Os!”

My Opinion: Who doesnt’t love the anti-hero Deadpool, after last months socks it is nice to have another item relating to him.  I just need to find somewhere amazing to stick it.

Due to the hype last months box caused with its interior design, this month as promised they did exactly the same and went all out! I am so impressed and for obvious reasons cannot throw this away.

Another cool part about this box is that underneath the rug is a hidden section.  I think it is another part of the sofa and ten another rug but I am not entirely sure.  If anyone knows it to be something different, please tell me in the comment section down below! 🙂

Loot Crate August Theme Reveal

As this months reveal video has finally been released by the great guys at Loot Crate I thought I would reveal this months theme.

You didn’t think we’d let the bad guys have all the glory. This month we have assembled an awesome collection that celebrates good guys. Items in our crate draw from HEROES in both geek & gamer lore…Last but not least, our custom box last month was so well received that you’ll get another surprise when you open your August one!

That’s right this month theme is in fact Heroes! And for those of you who didn’t get to see last months Loot Crate, this was the genius little surprise inside everyone’s box:-

Now I’ll stop with my ranting and let loose the visionary masterpiece that can be seen below. Enjoy!

I’m Feeling all Nostalgic…

Bringing back some very good memories of amazing games that I had the privilege of playing and immersing myself in their world.

July Loot Crate – Villains

You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.” – Harvey Dent

Look to the bottom of this post to see the new places around the world that Loot Crate is now shipping to!

July Loot Crate

Jocki Villain T Shirt by Woot!

This shirt combines two of comics most dastardly chaotic villains from two different comic houses…show everyone that these two villains could be far worse if they were all blended into one crazy body! Only from Loot Crate!

My Opinion: Find this shirt so entertaining and amazing, two of my favourite villains combined into one.  I will wear this exclusive item with pride and make all jealous! Ha ha ha, only Joki!

Joker Tee

Exclusive Rocket Raccoon Comic by Marvel & Diamond Comics

He’s small, adorable, foul-mouthed and armed to the teeth…Learn more about Rocket and just what makes him on of our favourites in this awesome comic with art done by Skottie Young and exclusive cover work by Dale Keown.

My Opinion: I can add this to my huge comic stash. I have never read a comic including Rocket Raccoon in but I am happy to give this a read.  Might get me even more hyped for the upcoming film, Guardians of the Galaxy.

Harley Quinn and Joker Posters by DC Comics & Trends International

It’s hard not to love The Joker just like it’s pretty difficult to not appreciate the mad love that Harley Quinn has for her boss slash most difficult patient.  Get comfortable with two of Arkham’s finest with both of these beautiful posters.

My Opinion: I already have a Joker poster on my wall from the game Arkham Aslyum but this poster is amazing and will make a great addition especially with Harley Quinn included.  They always remind me of the quote from Alice in Wonderland – We’re all mad here!

Deadpool Socks by Marvel Comics & HYP

We had considered putting chimichangas in every crate but it was messy in trials. Check out these awesome socks that give you a hint of anti-hero without the pricey costs of lairs, weapons and medical bills.

My Opinion: I absolutely adore Deadpool, he doesn’t cease to amaze me with his outrageous acts. I also have a sock fixation so this can join my many socks within my drawer. Definitely a favourite of mine in this months Loot Crate – a bit sad I suppose but I love them!

Darth Vader Key Chain by Lucas Films & Plasicolor

It can’t be all about comic books because we’d be leaving out another famous villain entirely! Darth Vader still remains one of the most notorious and well-known good-guys-gone-wrong stories in movies! Why not take him with you everywhere to remind yourself it’s okay to be a little bit bad.

My Opinion: Cannot wait to put this key chain on my keys, will make a nice addition. I already have the bottle opener from the Adventure themed month on my keys so I might as well add this to it as well. Everyone is a fan of the infamous Darth Vader and I am indeed one of them.

Necessary Evil DVD by DC Comics & Warner Brothers

Christopher Lee narrates this awesome documentary that explores the villains of DC Universe

My Opinion: Huge fan of documentaries as they are so interesting and engrossing, will be watching this pretty soon to learn all I can about the evil villains of the DC Universe. I love finding out about their past and what made them become the villains they are today.

Bowser Magnet 3×3 by Loot Crate Labs

Bowser wants YOU to help him thwart those obnoxious plumbing brothers! Protect your fridge with the most hardcore boss from the Mushroom Kingdom! Toss this on a locker and warn anyone who dares try to enter, your treasures are protected by King Koopa’s army!

My Opinion: Already have put this on my cabinet at work. I am hoping it’ll work in keeping people away who try to give me work. Fingers crossed!  On a side note – hope you enjoy my poster!

Another favourite of mine in this months Loot Crate is the box itself, look at all the graffiti left behind by The Joker. This is definitely a keeper!

Loot Crate July Theme Reveal

This months Loot Crate theme has been revealed and my crate will shortly be with me.

This theme revolves around the world’s most hated thing known to mankind:

They cause havoc in cities, children to cry and heroes to fight; they destroy planets and lives with anguish and passion, they are the worst kind of people known to man – they are the Villains of the world. Gotham stands no chance in a game of cards when the Joker is played, the father of Luke wonders in the dark with the Death Star in tow and there is always that one girl with a Raven on her shoulder and skin as blue as the ocean that consumes the globe; these are some of the Villains feared by all but where every Joker, there is a Bat. With every dark side, there is a beacon of light and with every Raven, there is a Wolverine.

July’s crate is all to do with Villains, so join me soon in my unboxing of this months Loot Crate.

Megan x 🙂

Benefit – First Class Flirts

First Class Flirts

Unfortunately I didn’t fly first class but I was able to pick up this cute Benefit travel set on board:-

First Class FlirtsFCF Back

Here are the items I got inside. Cannot wait to try them out!

Total MoistureGal and PoreBenetint1Blush - DandelionBenefit - Watts Up

I am glad I got this on the way back, I love Benefit products and even though these are only sample sizes I am still really excited to try them out. I have always wanted to get a Benefit blush but have never been too sure which one to use.
My beauty regime has also changed a lot especially the way I am applying make up and how much I am putting on my skin. I barely wore any make up on holiday apart from to cover up any problem areas and a bit of bronzer, I am hoping to incorporate this into my routine back in England as it takes less time and any skin problems I have will clear up quicker. I am going to definetly include these into my routine, cannot wait to also try out the “That Gal” primer, I have heard fantastic things about it.  This only cost me £16.50 on the plane so was a fantastic buy.  I love Duty Free and whoever came up with the idea!

That’s all from me,

Megan x 🙂

June Loot Crate – Transform

My friend received their crate at the weekend so I knew that first thing this morning I would come into work to find my Loot Crate waiting for me. Two whole days of waiting later and here it is, my crate of transforming goodies. Lets stop the chit-chat and get right to it.  I know this is late compared to some other people’s so instead of making anyone out there wait any longer, here it is;

“Like us, there’s more to them than meets the eye” – Optimus Prime

Transformers Hex Bugs by Hasbro & First Innovations Labs

Transformers Blind Box by Habro and The Loyal Subjects

Transormers Sticker Set, MLG Terry Cloth Wristband & MLG Stickers

Marty McPrime Shirt by Nathan Davis & The Hundreds

Gotta go back in time!! This months Loot Crate items were not the best I have ever received from the wonderful people at Loot Crate but I did enjoy them especially the Back to the Future themed t-shirt. I have always been a huge fan so to get a shirt remotely linked to BTF is a plus; by far my favourite item in the crate. I am quite disappointed though that not many of the items can transform from one thing to another, I had such high hopes and think they missed out on a great opportunity. Either way these items aren’t the worst and I am happy to have received them.

Don’t miss out for next months Loot Crate. Subscriptions for July are now open and you can get $3 off by using the code: SAVE3 or if you’d rather just read about what items are in next months crate instead of getting one for yourself please feel free to follow my blog as I am not intending on stopping my subscription to Loot Crate anytime soon and will be doing monthly posts of what amazing items I receive.
